Red Bull Flugtag is returning to the Sunshine State!  The brave and slightly crazy will launch their human-powered flying machines above Tampa Bay’s waters at City Park at Tampa Convention Center.  This will be the first time Red Bull Flugtag has touched down in Florida since the Miami competition in 2004. Red Bull Flugtag Tampa Bay will boast almost 40 outrageous crafts, ranging from giant footwear to supersized sea creatures, built by participants ranging from animators to biologists and college students to flight instructors.  

It's take(off) number two for Portland, OR as Red Bull Flugtag once again touches down at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The competition is returning to the Rose City after blowing it out of the water in 2004, when over 50,000 spectators watched Santa’s Sleigh, Luke Skywalker and a Pigasus take to the skies. Bring your appetite for fun this time around as a winged weenie, a Chinese takeout box and a giant bowl of salsa & tortilla chips all take a dip in the river. Aviators will be judged on distance, creativity and showmanship.  

On September 6, the outrageous human-powered flying competition known as Red Bull Flugtag will once again soar over the Windy City.  This time, however, it’s headed to the salty waters of North Avenue Beach where nearly 40 teams of fearless fliers will take to the skies. This year’s Red Bull Flugtag Chicago competitors have a lot to live up to – and we do mean up.  Flip the clock back five years and you may remember King Kong, Snoopy the Red Baron and Larry the Flying Lobster hitting the Chicago skies in front of over 70,000 revelers.
